Business Resource Central Committee

Oversight of several existing business development initiatives, including: Broken Arrow Business Institute (seminars & workshops), Business Assistance Team and Business Consultation Services, Business Resource Digest, Business Visitation Program and other services to assist existing businesses.

Downtown Revitalization Committee

The study and execution of policies and programs to redefine the role and economics of the downtown community. Develop concepts and means of redeveloping the area within and adjacent to the area bounded by Elm and Lynn Lane, Washington Street and the Broken Arrow Expressway.

Manufacturers Council

Provide meetings, programs, networking opportunities to encourage cooperation and collaboration within the manufacturing community, between manufacturing executives and their employees and provide a conduit of information and services available through the community.

NOTE: The Manufacturer's Council is open exclusively to manufacturing companies in the Broken Arrow area.

Development Strategies

Develop an in-depth understanding of circumstances, issues and attitudes impacting development in Broken Arrow; define investment advantages and barriers to market- driven development related to geography, infrastructure, real estate, incentives, public opinions, regulatory policies, procedures and public relations.

Retail Development

Study the impact of Broken Arrow's poor retail sales tax collections, determine possible corrective strategies and advocate those strategies.

Community Beautification

Enhance the esthetics and image of the community by implement programs that encourage the beautification of Broken Arrow.

Leadership Development

Conduct programs to improve awareness of community organizations, the roles and functions of those organizations, the skills of leadership and the participation of individuals in those efforts.

Rooster Days Festival

Plan, organize and promote the activities and events of the annual festival.

Strategic Planning

Plan and implement "study groups" and "review best practices" leading to the adoption of goals and strategies for the quality development of our community.

Community Preparedness

Establish, implement and promote business participation in emergency preparedness and disaster recovery programs and efforts.

Community Fitness, Wellness & Healthcare

Involve the medical and business community in a cooperative and collaborative partnership to develop strategies and deliver programs that will promote fitness, wellness and better health in an effort to minimize costs and improved availability.

Public Schools & Education

Study issues impacting public schools and endeavor to support education excellence by forming working alliances between business, education and others interested in local public and workforce education.

Legislative & Public Affairs

Determine and advocate appropriate positions on local, state and federal issues impacting upon local businesses as well as our local city and county governments.

Transportation, Infrastructure & Communications

Assess local infrastructure needs, develop strategies to correct deficiencies and seek political support and funding to meet the current and future needs of the market area.

NSU & Higher Education Committee

Build close working relationships with NSU officials; develop Town & Gown relationships to advance the expansion and excellence of Northeastern and higher education in general, especially the regional universities. The University should be the center piece of Broken Arrow's continuing education, economic development and cultural enrichment.

NSU Scholarship Golf Tournament

Partner with the NSU Alumni Association in the organization and operation of a fundraising golf tournament to provide scholarships and internships for students attending the Broken Arrow Campus.

Ambassador Club

Provide appreciation services to new and existing businesses celebrating grand openings, new facilities, anniversaries and other special occasions.

Annual Awards Banquet & Auction

Plan and promote a gala event recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of outstanding volunteers and their contributions to the Chamber and the community.

Chairman's Club

Engage new chamber members, welcome their membership and participation in chamber events and programs, assist them in broadening their understanding of chamber interests and mentor them into a participatory relationship with other members.

Expo '09

Promote local businesses to potential customers by staging business and home products and services to the exhibition visitors.

Membership & Development

Support the financial capability and member resources to adequately fund the full range of facilities, operations, programs and staff necessary to support the Chamber's involvement in building a community of excellence in economic vitality and community development.

Total Resource Campaign

Market a full range of memberships, sponsorships, advertising and other promotional opportunities to chamber and community boosters that will advance individual businesses and organizations while funding important chamber programs

Leads Groups

Facilitate groups of select, non-competing members to assist one another in mutual marketing efforts by sharing lead referrals, recommendations. Marketing tips and prospect information, etc.

Networking Events

Facilitate monthly networking events for the advantage of members.

Cycle Fandango Outdoor Adventure

A tour of the Arkansas River Valley region of NW Oklahoma from Broken Arrow along the river valley and into the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and Greenleaf State Park.
