Why is the Chamber having an emergency preparedness committee? I think Steve Bradley summed it up very beautifully when he said, "The number of businesses back in operation following a disaster is critical to a community and the Chamber of Commerce will be the engine to restore the community to normalcy."

Proposed five-step plan to alert businesses and citizens of the Broken Arrow Community

Objective: Communicate available resources and emergency/disaster preparedness procedures to the entire community

Rationale: Keep our community safe by knowing who to call, where to go, and when action is needed.

Primary focus: Two segments-the business owners and citizens

Overall action steps: Create awareness through better marketing and more visible information.
